Models
Last update for this week is a peculiar set of pictures. Vincent Lauret (merci pour ta gentillese et ta patience!) has been working from time to time on a train model layout for 12 years, which he keeps in a little shed of his country house at a little town in Normandy, France. He was kind enough to let me enter his little world and take some photographs, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to behold such a work of love.
This is not only a train model but a model to follow as well, in a reality where everything goes faster everyday and we barely stop to enjoy some quality time. (That was just today's deep thought :) )

La última actualización de esta semana es un peculiar set de fotos. Vincent Lauret ha trabajado los últimos 12 años, poco a poco, en la maqueta de un tren que guarda en un pequeño galpón de su casa de campo en un pequeño pueblo de Normandía, Francia. Su amabilidad me permitió adentrarme en su pequeño mundo y sacar unas cuantas fotos, lo que también me permitió admirar un trabajo de puro amor al arte.
No sólo se trata de un modelo de tren, sino también de un modelo a seguir en un mundo en el que todo va más deprisa cada día, en el que casi nunca nos paramos a disfrutar un poco de tiempo de calidad. (Ahí va el pensamiento profundo del día :) )

Vanessa Van Basten: Psygnosis EP
I have recently completed work on the new EP by Genoa, Italy band Vanessa Van Basten called Psygnosis. Quite an interesting underground band, they make instrumental progressive metal-esque music that draws influences from bands like Godflesh/Jesu/Swans with the European taste of Morricone and others, sometimes making you feel inside a giallo movie or any other by Lucio Fulci, even David Lynch. Yes, they're that good.
The work itself consists on a 12" picture vinyl disc, that is, the whole disc surface will be printed. It will be released by cult record company Knvbi Records from the USA.

Recientemente he terminado el diseño del nuevo EP de la banda de Génova (Italia) Vanessa Van Basten, llamado Psygnosis. Una banda underground realmente interesante, os recomiendo su escucha!
El trabajo en sí consistió en el diseño de un vinilo 12" picture disc, lo que significa que toda la superficie del mismo será impresa. Será editado por el sello de culto Norteamericano Knvbi Records.

First of 2009, a bit late...
I must admit I get a bit lazy when it comes to prepare new galleries with the updates... Anyhoo, I will try to upload a couple new things this week. First, a new collaboration with Leonor Díaz of Como pez en el agua, again I gave color to her illustrations, this time for an interesting publication about Woman and care of the rural environment, made by Adega.

He de admitir que soy un poco vago cuando se trata de actualizar la página con nuevas galerías... pero intentaré subir un par de cosas nuevas esta semana. Para empezar, una nueva colaboración con Leonor Díaz de Como pez en el agua, con la que volví a realizar unas ilustraciones para una interesante publicación sobre La mujer y el cuidado del medio rural, llevada a cabo por la Asociación para la Defensa Ecológica de Galicia, Adega.
