Maila Nurmi, a.k.a. Vampira, has died at the age of 86. She was mostly known for her role in "Plan 9 from outer space" by infamous Ed Wood. But also for being close friends with... James Dean among others.
So anyway (gotta run!). Rest In Peace, Vampira!
Art. Lebedev strikes back, again.
This time with Optimus Tactus, a one-sensor keyboard. Only a prototype of course, but looking great! I don't know if it'd be comfortable and it obviously lacks the feedback effect of common, physical keys. Anyhoo, it's always refreshing to see how Mr. Lebedev is trying to push the boundaries in industrial design, in what relates to technology and objects of everyday use. You can check it out here. In other news, Happy 2008 and new life to all of you! I'd really have liked to make something special for the occasion, specially when last year was so important for me at so many levels, but I got this goddamn flu which won't let me go yet! Many thanks to everyone who has supported me last (and every other) year, this one's gonna be even better I tell you! Up up and beyond!
Winamp Lyrics Plugin
I've been using this plugin for some time now after trying many available options out there, and I think this is the best so far. It does its job in a simple and clean way, it's online-based and sufficiently configurable in what relates to its appearance.
Ah, yes, what's it for? It's a Winamp plugin (well, and uh... Windows Media Player as well) that displays the lyrics of the current playing song. Very recommended!

Como la mayoría sabréis, el gobierno ha sacado recientemente unas ayudas para que la gente joven pueda emanciparse, dando subvenciones para el alquiler de pisos. Pues bien, para apoyar e informar la historia, han sacado una web (emancipacionjoven.es), viralmente hackeada por Atilano.
Después de los míticos Güebones con el aún más mítico César Saracho, esto es de lo mejor que he visto en este plan.

At last! Electric Wizard, the Dorset (UK) doomsters have just released the album I've been waiting for since their all-time classic, Dopethrone.
Behold Witchcult Today, that sees the band at almost its best, pure occult-induced DOOM!. It's definitely not at the same height as Dopethrone, but we can safely say: The Wizard is back!!
