Migration finished, new stuff up

Looks like everything is running as it should in my new server, so here we go with a new project. Possibly the weirdest stuff I ever did until now, an interface design for a Darts game cabinet which has been developed by Plattsoft (hello Jordi!). The video part was developed by good old Tresdeseos.

Parece que todo va bien en el nuevo servidor, así que volvemos con nuevo proyecto, quizás el más raro que nunca haya acometido (de momento). Se trata del diseño de la interfaz para una máquina de dardos, desarrollada por Plattsoft. Las partes de vídeo fueron desarrolladas por Tresdeseos.

Switching server / Cambiando de servidor

Otra actualización con unas ilustraciones realizadas por la artesana Leonor Díaz de Como pez en el agua (si vivís en Santiago de Compostela, no dudéis en visitar su tienda-taller en San Pedro), que yo me encargué de vectorizar y colorear. Éstas serán incluídas en una guía de formación de formadoras de Cabo Verde, que editará la empresa Lilith, Acción social y educativa.

Update: De ponte a ponte polo río Sarela

Se acabaron las vacaciones, volvemos al tajo! En el pasado mes de Julio el ayuntamiento de Santiago de Compostela editó un folleto acerca de la ruta que rodea al río Sarela, saltando de puente en puente (no literalmente). Próximamente se creará también un jardín botánico en la zona. Sin duda un entorno que merece la pena visitar.

El folleto fue creado en colaboración con Trivium, estratexias en cultura e turismo. Saludos a Álex, quien se pateó la ruta de arriba abajo repetidas veces y puso todo de su parte para que todo llegase a buen puerto!

Holidays are over, time to get back to work! Last July the Santiago de Compostela Council edited a brochure about the route and ancient bridges surrounding the Sarela river, which I made in collaboration with Trivium, estratexias en cultura e turismo.

Identity study for Gargore, now working as a videogames development studio.

It was just great to work again for Gargore, five years after its 'official' creation, where I took part as well. Jolly good times.

Some years ago a multidisciplinary company, now focusing on videogame development, we were looking after something terribly reusable and versatile, so it could fit in every kind of project. Packed with an ecofriendly mood if possible :)

- Ok, so finally my mail is working again. If you got bounced back lately, I'm sorry - try again now :)

- A little late to report this, but Trace and Sole have created the first DVD gathering some modern demos from the Spanish Demoscene. You can check the contents here (Spanish), get the .torrent there, and read more about it here, here and the 'making of' here. Great work guys!

My server has a good statistics system, but I prefer Reinvigorate, it provides the most useful information in an ordered and clean way. And I can set up multiple accounts for my projects. Sweet.

A campaign for enhancing Flash audio

There is a little something that was always wrong with Flash: Its lack of support for some really nice audio formats (OGG, XM, MOD). Come on, mp3 is really nice, but it sounds like crap at low bitrates (sometimes required due to big file sizes-loading times), so at least bring OGG in.

Here's a campaign trying to change that: Adobe, MAKE SOME NOISE!

I just added a couple of my latest works. The latest being a video for Finsa, a pretty big Spanish corporation. Again in collaboration with Tresdeseos, this time as a motion graphics technician. Sorry, only screenshots!

I'm not updating too often, Real Life™ won't let me! There are many new projects on sight... those I will keep you all updated on... soon...?

Maila Nurmi, a.k.a. Vampira, has died at the age of 86. She was mostly known for her role in "Plan 9 from outer space" by infamous Ed Wood. But also for being close friends with... James Dean among others.

So anyway (gotta run!). Rest In Peace, Vampira!

This time with Optimus Tactus, a one-sensor keyboard. Only a prototype of course, but looking great! I don't know if it'd be comfortable and it obviously lacks the feedback effect of common, physical keys. Anyhoo, it's always refreshing to see how Mr. Lebedev is trying to push the boundaries in industrial design, in what relates to technology and objects of everyday use. You can check it out here. In other news, Happy 2008 and new life to all of you! I'd really have liked to make something special for the occasion, specially when last year was so important for me at so many levels, but I got this goddamn flu which won't let me go yet!
